Tratto da www.uni.com

Commercial shutters and gates, both industrial and for garages, without fire-door functions or fire-spread control, both automatically and manually operated, are included in a special rule. It is the UNI EN 13241-1 rule : conformity confers to the manufacturer the presumption of conformity at directive 89/106 “building products”, and also -only if electrical operations are present- at dir. 98/37 (machines directive) and 89/336 (electromagnetic compatibility directive) . Conformity to abovementioned European Directives (demonstrated by UNI EN 13241-1) allows manufacturers to legally introduce on European Market these construction components. CE mark that must be strictly accompanied with products provides that legal obligations from CE legislation are full filled.

Legislations oblige the manufacturer to do a lot of tests and to keep under control their own production line, in order to assure/maintain prototypes’ performances, also for current production.

Tests are specifically made to satisfy these requirements:

1) water-resistance

2) dangerous/toxic release

3) hard-wind conditions

4) thermal-resistance

5) air-permeability

6) safety during opening operations

7) glass-feature geometrical design

8) mechanical resistance

9) operating force

10) durability

Product’s performance infos, according to above rules, must be strictly associated with CE mark, and:

-Items’ name; -ID mark; -Manufacturer’s address; -marking’s years; EN 13241-1 disposition.

This norm concerns doors, gates, public places’ barriers installation, which first use is to keep safe conditions for:  vehicles and products carried out by workers, industries, commercial and private buildings.

Shops shutters also included, even if only for pedestrian passage.
